Indian Cow Eating Grass

Why Our Collagen Comes From India (Not Switzerland or Europe)

Transparency, quality and results, always.

When we set out to create Vigor Collagen, we didn’t choose our source based on which country we could market the easiest. We chose based on what actually performs best.

We tested collagen from Europe, Switzerland, Brazil, and India, and the collagen that delivered the best quality, cleanest profile, and smoothest, clump free mix-ability came from India.

So that’s what we chose.

And here’s why.

1. It Had to Be Tasteless and Clump-Free

Let’s be honest, if collagen tastes fishy, smells strange, or floats in your coffee like tissue paper, you’re not going to use it long enough to see results.

We wanted collagen you can add to:

coffee

tea

smoothies

yoghurt

or even plain water

Without tasting it. Without thinking about it. Without effort.

The collagen we selected:

Dissolves instantly

Has no taste or smell

Leaves zero grit or clumps

This was one of our non-negotiables.

Consistency = results.

2. India Has Extremely Strong Grass-Fed Farming Traditions

Our bovine collagen comes from grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle in India, where open grazing is the traditional farming system, not grain-fed feedlots.

This means:

Natural, outdoor lifestyle

Grass-based diet

More ethical, less industrial farming (you know cows in India are worshiped right?)

No crowded feedlot stress environments

The result?

Cleaner protein structure

High-quality Type I & III collagen peptides

Fewer antibiotics and better animal welfare

And importantly:
Our collagen is a by-product of the dairy industry, not farmed for collagen.
This makes it a sustainable upcycled ingredient, not an exploitative one.

3. Our Marine Collagen is Wild-Caught, Not Farmed

Our marine collagen is sourced from wild-caught fish along the Indian coastline, an area dominated by small responsible fisheries rather than industrial fish farms.

This matters because wild fish:

Are not fed artificial feed

Do not contain farming antibiotics

Have a more natural amino acid profile

And our marine collagen is:

Low in heavy metals

Neutral in smell and taste

Highly bioavailable

Again, no fishy aftertaste, no cloudiness, no “ocean burp” (you’re welcome).

4. Purity + Heavy Metal Testing Came First

Every batch is UK tested for:

Lead

Mercury

Arsenic

Cadmium

Copper

Chromium

Zinc

Solubility performance

Our collagen is produced in food-grade, accredited facilities that comply with international safety and purity standards.

Each batch undergoes UK testing for heavy metals, microbiological safety, and peptide purity, ensuring it is clean, safe, and suitable for daily use. This is collagen designed to be ingested and absorbed, not the lower-grade material used in cosmetics or topical products.

5. Switzerland Isn’t Automatically Better

Switzerland makes great chocolate and great holidays.
But collagen quality depends on:

Animal diet

Processing method

Purity testing

Farming environment

Not the marketing appeal of the location on the label.

We don’t pay extra for the “Swiss” tagline - in fact, Indian was more expensive!

We formulate a products for what performs best in your body.

And this was it.

So Why India? Because It Was the Best.

Our collagen is:
✅ Grass-fed (bovine) & wild-caught (marine)
✅ Batch-tested for purity & heavy metals
✅ Tasteless, odourless & clump-free
✅ High bioavailability for real results
✅ A by-product of existing industries (no waste, no harm)
✅ Ethical, clean, and scientifically sound

We chose India because it was the cleanest. The purest. The most effective.
And the collagen that people actually want to take every day.

And that’s what leads to real results, strong hair, glowing skin, healthier joints, and confidence that what you’re taking truly supports your body.
